Reformist's Rising - Humanity's Dawn Book 4
Start Writing - TBC
Set 40 years before the first book in the 'Humanity's Dawn' series, this trilogy will focus on the build up to it.
The Year is 4505 and a young 'Juan Pique' looks on as his parents are butchered by the invading Raiders in front of him on their home world of New Moorland. He sits quietly under a pile of debris pretending to be dead as to not welcome any unwanted attention. This very day will shape the destiny of this young man who will go on to forge a powerful destabilising secret movement within the GUP known as the 'Reformists'. Why had the GUP left them all to die? This early exposure to violence, disappointment and the power of deception will serve as powerful tools in the establishment of his new order.
I never envisioned this being next, but I realised that the rise of the Reformist’s is an interesting tale in itself. In 'Humanity's Dawn' the view that is given of them is a cold and evil order, hell bent on the destruction of the GUP. One thing life has taught me is that nothing is ever that black and white, and quite often the ones who hold the reins of power will write the history (or story in this case). The book will focus on the rise of this secret faction and look at factors like why so many citizens of the GUP on the outlying worlds do not feel comfortable living within it.
An alternative perspective of the universe I have built!
